Lars Walløe elected President of Academia Europaea

Professor Lars Walløe has been elected to be the next President of the Academia Europaea. Walløe was for many years President of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

The Council of the Academia Europaea elected Lars Walløe to be the Fifth President of the Academia Europaea, at a meeting held in London on 27^th June. Prof. Walløe will assume the Presidency at the end of the 20^th anniversary conference of the Academia, which will take place at Liverpool (European Capital of Culture) September 18 – 20^th.
