Abel Prize announcement
The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, Oslo
The Academy's President, Nils Christian Stenseth, will announce the name of the Abel Laureate 2010. The chairman of the Abel committee, Kristian Seip, will then give a brief account of the committees citation. This will be followed by a popular science presentation of the prizewinner and his work by Marcus du Sautoy, Professor of mathematics at Oxford University.
The Abel Prize announcement will be filmed and can be viewed as a live webcast.
