The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters publishes books and journals, often in collaboration with others.

Books

Food from the Ocean – Norway's Opportunities
The book contains the written versions of the talks presented at a symposium with the title: “Food from the Ocean – Norway’s Opportunities”, jointly organised by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences and the Research Council of Norway.
The symposium was held at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters in 2013 and had 150 participants.
Kristin Halvorsen, Minister of Education and Research, gave the introductory talk.

Marine Transport in the High North
This publication contains the written papers of the talks presented at a symposium organized jointly between the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.
The symposium was held in 2010 in the localities of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters in Oslo and had more than 100 registered participants.
The topic of the Symposium – Marine Transport in the High North – was chosen because of its political importance.
Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre, gave the introductory speech.

Medical Technology – Meeting Tomorrow's Health Care Challenges
This book contains the written papers of the talks presented at the symposium “Medical Technology – Meeting Tomorrow's Health Care Challenges”, organized jointly by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences and the Research Council of Norway. The symposium took place at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters in 2014. Bent Høye, Minister of Health and Care Services, gave the opening speech.

Natural Disasters and Societal Safety
This book contains the written papers of the talks presented at the symposium “Natural Disasters and Societal Safety” organized jointly by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences and the Research Council of Norway. The symposium took place at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters on the 28th of April 2014.

Journals

Zoologica Scripta
This is an international journal for Systematic Zoology. The journal is published on behalf of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Zoologica Scripta publishes empirical, theoretical, and methodological papers, review articles and debate comments and replies dealing with zoological diversity and systematics in an evolutionary context. Preference will be given to studies in phylogeny, biogeography, molecular biology and palaeontology.

Physica Scripta
Physica Scripta is an international journal for experimental and theoretical physics.
The journal is published in collaboration between the Nordic countries' science academies.
Physica Scripta is an international journal for experimental and theoretical physics comprising strong components of atomic, molecular and optical physics, plasma physics, condensed matter physics and mathematical physics. The journal publishes comments in five different sections and maintains a program of topical issues alongside the regular 12 issues.
