Ethics Committee

Consisting of four members from different fields of study, each with a high level of competence in the fields of ethics, the Committee serves as an advisory body to the Academy in questions regarding ethics.

The Committee also organizes open meetings to raise the debate about relevant ethical issues within the field of science. Previous subjects have included scientific fraud and the ethical principles in different fields of study.

The Committee was first appointed in 2017.

  • Deborah Oughton, Professor at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resource Management, NMBU
  • Narve Fulsås, Professor of Modern History, University of Tromsø
